Lynda Vescio

Lynda Vescio grew up in Westchester County, New York. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College, in Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1992. She then graduated from New York University School of Law in New York City in 1995.

Lynda's early years as a litigator were spent at a "mid-sized" New York City law firm, with approximately 120 attorneys in her office. There, she practiced a variety of areas of law, and began practicing family law in the pro bono context. Lynda then spent five years at a large New York law firm, with approximately 500 attorneys in her office, 900 attorneys world-wide. During those years, Lynda became highly skilled in legal research, legal writing, oral arguments and trials. She won Pro Bono service awards in 1998 and 1999. Lynda rose to a senior position among the associates, and met frequently with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. She was recognized as one of the two top performing litigation associates in 2000.

In 2002, Lynda moved her practice to Arizona, where she practiced at the Phoenix office of a national law firm, then at a Phoenix-based regional firm. In 2005, after a decade of practice in civil litigation, commercial law, and business law, she transitioned into government work, representing Arizona's children and families. In that role, she earned the "Emerging Star" award for her section in 2006.

Lisa M. Sirard

Community Involvement:

Experience: Experience with numerous complex Family Law issues including, but not limited to, cases involving allegations of abuse, spousal maintenance and child support awards. Also experienced in criminal misdemeanors, collection of debt and employment law.

About Lisa: Lisa M. Sirrard is an attorney with Vescio Law Firm, P.C. Lisa grew up in Hawaii and Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She then traveled the world which included living in Mexico and Costa Rica to learn Spanish. With this experience she became fluent in Spanish. She then attended John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated 3rd in her class. Lisa moved to Arizona in 2006 to be closer to home. She began her legal career working for a small firm specializing in Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law, Wills, Trusts and Probate Law. She then opened her own practice and mainly practiced Family Law and Criminal Misdemeanors. Lisa joined forces with Vescio Law Firm in 2009 as she saw an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and compassionate firm which stood out as a provider of excellent service to the client. Lisa is an attorney who establishes a close working relationship with her clients and is highly accessible. Erin Steffin

Erin Steffin, Esq. is an attorney with Vescio Law Firm, P.C. She grew up in southern California and Arizona, where she learned to appreciate perpetual sunshine and cooking with various chilies. She graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University in 2002 with a BS in Psychology. She then lived in San Diego until 2005, when she graduated cum laude from University of San Diego, School of Law. In law school, Erins elective curriculum focused on tax law, and she earned the CALI award for academic excellence in Corporate Taxation in spring 2004. Erin is currently pursuing an LLM in Taxation at the University of San Diego and expects to complete her degree in the Summer of 2010.

Erin began her legal practice in government work, as an Arizona Assistant Attorney General representing the interests and protection of Arizonas families and children. During that time, she gained considerable trial experience. In 2007, Erin joined the private sector where she represented veterans and their families worldwide in Federal Tort Claims for medical malpractice against the federal government.

In June 2009, Erin joined Vescio Law Firm, P.C., where she brings a combination of trial, negotiation, and settlement experience. Erins tax experience and training brings to the Firm an ability to advise our clients of potential tax and estate planning issues in their legal matters. Jessie P. Cooney - Office Manager/Senior Paralegal

Jessie P. Cooney is Vescio Law Firm, P.C.'s Office Manager and Senior Paralegal. She was born in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Phoenix when she was seven years old. She graduated from Carl Hayden High Scholl in 1998 and Phoenix College in 2007 with an Associate in Applied Sciences Paralegal Studies. She is currently working towards the completion of her Bachelors Degree in Administration of Justice at Northern Arizona University (NAU).

Jessie started her law career in June of 2005. She has experience in both family and criminal law. She previously worked for the Arizona Attorney Generals Office, first in the Protective Services Section for three years and then in the Criminal Prosecution Section for approximately one year.
